Bunton started her career at an early age when she started doing modeling work for such things as Mothercare, Mentadent P toothpaste, and Polly Pocket. During her time in school, she auditioned for several TV parts including “Bianca” in EastEnders 1985, but none of them really panned out. She is seen briefly in both EastEnders 1985 and The Bill 1984, but only in minor parts. It was not long after she graduated from Sylvia Young’s that she joined the Spice Girls (after the original 5th Spice Girl, Michelle Stephenson, left). 2 albums, 8 No. 1 singles, and a film later, and the Spice Girls are still going strong.
In addition, she is due to appear in the BBC musical drama Sleeping Beauty 1987, which is filming at the moment and will be out by the end of the year. The Spice Girls’ 3rd album, “Forever”, was released in November 2000 and reached the #2 spot on the UK charts. It featured the Spice Girls’ 9th #1 single, “Holler/Let Love Lead The Way”. Since then, the Spice Girls haven’t worked together again.
Bunton released her first solo album, “A Girl Like Me” in April 2001, which featured her 1999 cover of Edie Brickell’s “What I Am” and Emma’s own #1 hit “What Took You So Long”. In 2003, She released her second solo album, “Free Me”, which includes her four hits “Free Me”, “Maybe”, “I’ll Be There” and “Crickets Sing For Anamaria”. Her promo tour lead her to the US in early 2005, where a remix of “Free Me” was a popular club track.

The Great American Baking Show is an American cooking competition television series and an adaptation of The Great British Bake Off. The show is aired in the United States under the title The Great British Baking Show. The first season of the show aired on ABC under the title The Great Holiday Baking Show. It is the second licensed adaptation of the GBBO format in the United States.CBS produced one season of The American Baking Competition in 2013, which was hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, with Paul Hollywood and Mexican-American chef Marcela Valladolid as judges.
The first two seasons of the show were hosted by Nia Vardalos and Ian Gomez, with Mary Berry from the original GBBO series and American pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini as judges. The third season was hosted by cookbook author Ayesha Curry and former football player Anthony Adams. Iuzzini rejoined the show as a judge and was joined by original GBBO judge Paul Hollywood. This season was pulled off schedule following sexual harassment allegations against Judge Iuzzini. As a result, he was officially fired from the show and ABC. Curry and Iuzzini did not return for the fourth season.
The show was renewed for a fourth season on May 4, 2018, with Emma Bunton and Sherry Yard hired to replace in the following season as host and judge, respectively. On August 1, 2019, the show was renewed for a fifth season, which premiered on December 12, 2019.
It was announced on May 3, 2022, that The Roku Channel would be airing a new season of the show, with Paul Hollywood coming back as judge, along with Prue Leith from GBBO. Roku also stated the plans to air The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday Edition, featuring celebrities competing to raise money for charity.
