He’s a 4-time Heartland Emmy winner for work at Oklahoma’s NBC station KFOR and KAUT and has appeared in feature films like rudderless, The Jurassic Games, Wolf Head, Army of Frankensteins as well as national television: SYFY Channel, NBC, CNN, and hundreds of regional commercials from Oklahoma City, to Portland, and Las Vegas.
Lucas can be seen on weekday mornings on KFOR/KAUT’s “Rise and Shine.” He’s worked on stage with Star Trek Voyager’s Robert Picardo in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as well as opening for artists like “Weird Al” Yankovic.
When he’s not making TV, he’s playing the banjo as a Deering Artist. He released the bluegrass comedy album “Son of a Beekeeper” inspired by being raised by a family of honey producers in Mico.
In his role as Community Outreach and Promotions Coordinator for the American Banjo Museum, Ross appeared alongside Kermit the Frog for a specially-recorded video for the museum’s “Banjo Roots” educational outreach program in 2019.
