Reinstein hosted the premiere season of the Discovery Channel’s “Popular Mechanics” show, and a special on America’s lighthouses for HGTV. He explored Hawaii’s volcanoes, the caves of Puerto Rico, and the South Pacific islands of Tahiti, for the Travel Channel’s photo/adventure series, “FreezeFrame.”
Moreover, Reinstein was part of a Chronicle team that received a prestigious National DuPont-Columbia Broadcast Journalism Award for the Chronicle’s coverage of Boston’s Big Dig project in 2002. WCVB-TV, also known as channel 5 is a television station in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The station is affiliated with ABC and owned by Hearst Television. Its studios are located on TV Place in Needham, Massachusetts, and its transmitter is located on Cedar Street, as well as in Needham, on a tower that is shared with several other television and radio stations. The nearby Manchester, New Hampshire, is considered part of the Boston media market, making WCVB-TV part of a nominal duopoly with WMUR-TV or channel 9, that city’s ABC affiliate; however, the two stations maintain separate operations.
