He started working here in 1982 and went on until 2000. After this, he worked with CBS Radio out of NY. In 2005 he left CBS and joined KCBS in the Bay Area. Since the start of Fox’s Good Day, he has been co-anchoring it. Every morning, he wakes up early to go to his every weekday for four and a half hours of non-stop news and fun. One of the program’s (Good Day) features is “Tell it to Him” which occurs on Friday mornings. The show is regarded as irreverent and sometimes close to out-of-bounds. Ryan, who is the morning news co-anchor on Good Day on KDFW, the Fox O&O in Dallas, announced his retirement in early August effective the end of the month.

He has been a part of Good Day since its inception in 1995. He started at KDFW in 1989During Ryan’s final week on Good Day before retiring, Ryan encouraged viewers to donate blood in his honor.

Over the years, Ryan has given more than 17 gallons of blood, and during his final week, he donated once more. During the five-day blood drive on Good Day in honor of Ryan, the station’s viewers donated 2,885 units of blood and 915 platelets. Each donation can save up to three lives, so their generosity may save 11,000 lives.

Effective August 29th, he will anchor the Dallas-Fort Worth morning newscast from 6 am to 10 am alongside Lauren Przybyl, Evan Andrews, Chip Waggoner, and Hanna Battah.

Brandon Todd has been with FOX 4 Dallas for 24 years. He spent the first 15 years as a nightside reporter, then in 2019 was promoted to anchor of “Good Day” from 4 am to 6 am and would report for the remainder of the morning show.

Before joining the station, Todd served as a reporter for Fox 4 News WFTX Cape Coral, Florida. He was also a producer at NBC 2 News WBBH Fort Myers FL and a reporter at the Suncoast News Network (SNN) in Sarasota FL.

He attended and graduated from Ball State University, Todd holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications.
